Life on the edge

Living and working at the fringe of Start Bay in South Devon, I am part of a community under immediate threat from coastal erosion. This was demonstrated catastrophically in early 2026 with massive storm damage at Torcross and the washing away of the main road from here to Dartmouth.

My new series of paintings explores the ways in which coastal inundation and climate change have shaped – and continue to shape – life in local villages.
