Recreating the immediacy of the moment

Occasionally, I revisit a life drawing in the studio and work it up as a monoprint. I use very fluid watercolour or acrylic transferred from glass, and draw quickly over it with ink or paint, ā€˜Standing Girl’ was the winner of the Herts Open.

Playing fast and loose

Working at speed is a way to try to recreate the fleeting moments of the original pose.
